From African Feedstock to African Factory
Advancing Sustainable Raw Materials, Energy & Industrial Value in Africa
About the Summit
Africa Raw Materials Summit 2026
The Africa Raw Materials Summit is where Policy Makers, Industry Leaders, the Academia, Researchers, Manufacturers and Entrepreneurs meet to transform Africa. This premier event brings together stakeholders in the raw materials sector from across Africa to share ideas, build partnerships and chart a course on ways African nations can add value to their raw materials for industrial development and sustainable economic growth.
A Once in a Lifetime Experience
The summit is organized by the Raw Materials Research and Development Council (RMRDC), a government agency under the Federal Ministry of Innovation, Science and Technology (FMIST) Nigeria, vested with the mandate to promote the development and optimal utilization of Nigeria's raw materials for sustainable industrial growth, in collaboration with the African Raw Materials Experts.
2026 Theme
"From African Feedstock to African Factory"
The 2026 Summit shifts Africa's development narrative from the "pit-to-port" model—where raw materials are exported and finished goods imported—to a new era of Resource-Based Industrialization. Our goal is to power African manufacturing with local inputs, reducing vulnerability to global supply shocks and ensuring value addition happens on the continent.
By forging seamless, resilient regional value chains, we aim to make "Made in Africa" start with "Sourced in Africa"—transforming Africa's feedstock into value-added products that drive intra-African trade, industrialization, and sustainable development.
